When it comes to styling a bedroom there are a few different ways you can go. In this post, I take a look at some light and bright bedroom ideas for those looking for a clean and fresh look for their bedroom.
Why Choose Light and Bright Colours In The Bedroom?
There are so many reasons to choose light, bright colours for your bedroom. Opening your eyes to a brightly painted room can really help you wake up in the morning. Using light colours can also help a small room feel much bigger than it actually is.
Here are eight light and bright colour combination ideas for your bedroom.
1. Pale Lemon and Light Grey
Using Pale Lemon and Light grey Together creates a gorgeous feminine feel for those who fancy a change from pinks and purples.
Lemon is bright and cheerful while the Grey helps tone things down and makes the room feel chicer. Pair this colour scheme with small floral touches such as a vase of wildflowers on the nightstand or dresser and flower-themed artworks on the walls.
This colour combination would also work very well in a nursery, especially if the gender of the baby is not yet known.
2. White and White (with a hint of grey)

White, white and more white is the order of the day in this bedroom. I love the dark grey curtains and blanket which stop the whole thing from looking too bright or stark.
The whole room feels clean, calm and relaxing, perfect for a restful night’s sleep after a long day.
3. Blue and Grey

Blue is one of the most popular colours for bedrooms, but often people choose darker shades such as royal blue or navy blue.
This duck egg shade of blue might usually be seen in a kitchen or living room but I think it works well in a bedroom too.
What colours go with a duck egg blue bedroom?
There are lots of colour combinations you can try with a duck egg blue bedroom.
Neutral colours such as beige and ivory work well, as well as the grey we have mentioned above.
If you’re looking to add a pop of colour, you could try coral or blush tones in your duck egg blue bedroom.
Finally, you could add a stronger colour such as Navy blue.
4. Grey and Green and Pink

Ice cream pastel colours always work well in the bedroom, especially for younger children. I like how they stop this room from feeling too nuetrel and the bright green bedding adds an unexpected pop of colour. Perfectly dreamy!
5. Polkadot Heaven

This room is everything you’d want from a ‘light and bright’ bedroom with some added spots! The polka dots liven up what ould have been a slightly bland room without adding too much of a darker colour.
The balance is just right!
6. Siver and Slate

Sometimes when using two shades of grey, you end with one dark and one light. These two are both on the lighter side but still work well together. Light and bright, without being too dark and still using the ever-popular grey. One of the good things about grey is that it goes well with so many secondary colours, so it’s easy to change things up at a later date if you want to.
7. Pastel Pink

More pastels, this time a lovely shade of pink, which really makes the room feel light and bright – even with the black accessories. I love the added vibrancy the green wallpaper provides without feeling over the top.
8. Black, White and Orange

I didn’t expect to be putting the colour black on a list of light and bright bedroom ideas, but here we are. Adding the black wall away from the bed area allows the room to feel bright and vibrant but is a good compromise for not having every single wall painted white.
The bright accessories such as the blanket and cushions really help lift this room and make it feel like somewhere you could relax after a long day at work.
I hope these light and bright bedroom ideas provide plenty of inspiration for redecoration.
